Maybe you’ve noticed a trend, but it seems like a lot of my digital drawing has taken a back seat to these paintings. I’ve been enjoying the mixed media life this year and here’s another one. I had some wood lying about so I made this a little custom to have the main canvas inset a bit which adds a little depth but made this perfect for paint pouring.

Here’s a side view to kind of showcase the blue interference paint on the creature.

Fun fact, this started as a charcoal/pastel drawing that looked like this:

When I went to seal and varnish it… well, I didn’t do it right but I salvaged it as best I could and some of that original charcoal and pastel is still visible in the final piece.
